Timber prices generally decreased in the 2nd Quarter, as drier weather
conditions alleviated supply constraints. Wood products markets
continued to decline this quarter, with prices decreasing 12% for Southern
pine lumber, 15% for Southern plywood, and 32% for Southern OSB.
However, pulp markets improved, as softwood and hardwood pulp prices
increased 14% and 18%, respectively, in the 2nd Quarter.
